The Need for Vocational Training

Vocational education is a form of training in which students are taught skills necessary for a skilled craft or tradesperson. The institutes of technology that are vocationally based are also often called Polytechnic Institution. 

The World Development report in 2019 said that vocational training is advantageous as it allows workers to understand the changing labour markets. Vocational education is better than general education in one aspect: Vocational Education provides skills that are needed to secure a job and gain employment.

Argentina was the first country in Latin America to open vocational programs delivered at the General Workers Union, which is the National labour confederation of Argentina.

Australia

In Australia, vocation and education are provided as Post-secondary education by the VET system. There are currently 24 technical colleges in Australia that are world-class and help students understand the world’s technical aspects.

European Union

The European Union opened up vocational training in 2002 and the European centre to develop vocational training.
