I am sure you all have felt butterflies and goosebumps in the early phase of things we do; whether we have fallen in love or are struggling to prove ourselves with our newly found adventure. Many people ask for advice about coming up with these feelings. So here I am with my pack of suggestion and advice about the two basic feelings of humans- intuition and fear. They both come when we are in something new and are unsure about the feelings we have.

The question that haunts in everyone’s mind when they have they are addressing something new we often mix our feelings of fear and intuition with one another. Not sure about the true feeling together they have much broader facets than we actually think. Well, let us understand what they are, what combines them and what the basic differences between fear and institution are. But first, let us discuss what they actually are-

Intuition

Intuition is related solely for the present moment and it is all about the flash of thoughts that comes in our subconscious mind when we have some unrecognized thoughts and feelings. Intuitions fail when logics fail. Intuitions come and fade quickly and most of the time leaves us with positivity. The physical sensation or the gut feeling envisions image before we are able to concentrate on facts or logic. It is like a sixth sense we have. Intuition backgrounds in our gut feelings and has a mixed bag of positivity and negativity for us.

Fear

Fear is a feeling that is induced with death and threat of something bad. The fear is a situation when a person feels unsafe and try to get out of it.

While intuition is a small phase and is related to the present time, fear can have its root in past and is a prolonged feeling that can remain with the person for long.

Difference between fear and intuition-

Positivity and negativity both are related to our thought process and together they both impact our ability to analyze anything. When we enter something new then we often feel confused and have certain feelings that manage the flow of our thoughts. While intuition is related with both negative and positive thoughts of a person, fear has its connection only with negative vibes. We anticipate something with intuitions and with fear we dare to do it.

As humans, we are conditioned to feel both intuition and fear. They are part of our nature and thought processes. Both fear and intuitions serve different purposes in life and while intuitions help in initiating something fear keeps us safe from bad to happen. Fear keeps a person safe from things that can cause harm. Fear stops from facing something unfamiliar and saves us from falling into the trap. For example, we feel fear when we walk at some unknown place, especially in the dark. It is an evolutionary response that prevents us from facing something unknown.

Intuition is a very different thing from fear; it is what we predict from the heart and beyond logic. A mother getting intuition about his child’s condition or about his getting hurt is preventing and is beyond time and distance. There are a hundred cases like this where mother had an intuition about a kid getting hurt and that to hundreds of kilometers away. You can have an intuition of having a good day and regardless of having any signs, your intuitions will make you believe of having a good day.

Intuition is something that can give us hints that something is not right and needs to be checked while fear will assure you that there is something bad to happen and you must leave the place to avoid it.

Fear has some physical attributes like increased breathing, heart rate and vasodilatation of central vessels. The tension in muscles and goosebumps allow a man to sense something wrong and encourages moving out. While fear is related to physical symptoms like goose bumps and butterflies in the stomach, intuitions don’t have any physical symptoms. The level of emotions can be accelerated or analyzed as the effect of intuitions.

Intuitions are subtle and are totally related with the present whereas fear has its connection with the past events. Fear has its reference from past and often makes often makes a person uncomfortable.

To conclude, fear and intuitions are so intermingled with one another that it is easy to confuse ear with intuitions and most people do so. Also, we often encourage intuitions and try to keep fear away but fear is important. Fear keeps us safe from danger and also from the elements that are not good for us. The situation loses its balance when we confuse fear with intuition and vice versa. They both are important for our survival.
